Luigi Mangione - The Ceo Killer - Why Did He Do it?

 LUIGI MANGIONE

"Eyebrows McShoot 'Em"

Am I losing my mind? In the picture, there's clearly someone on the right, right? I've gone through every slide they gave us and took a snapshot of each one. Yup, two legs, possibly a lady. So, why hasn't anyone addressed his/her presence? Was he/she questioned about their involvement? Why did the shooter spare their life?

And here's another thing: why hasn't any news agency noticed or asked about the person on the right? That seems pretty strange. Then, there's the second picture showing the killer cocking his gun after it jammed. But where's the CEO in that shot? In all the other pictures, he’s more visible, but in this one, he's nowhere to be seen. Shouldn't he be even more noticeable in a moment like that? What do you all think?

Why do this guy's eyebrows always get to the room before Luigi?

Because Luigi might be fast, but those brows are always one step ahead!

  • WHY DID LUIGI DO IT?

Well, it seems like Luigi is a man of mystery with a complex backstory. Here's a possible reason why Luigi did it:

Luigi was always the perfect son, the shining student, the golden boy. But sometimes, beneath the polished exterior of success and privilege, the weight of expectation grows unbearable. He came from a family with a legacy to uphold, excelling in everything he did—except for one thing: his true self.

The big bushy eyebrows, a symbol of both his family’s proud history and his own growing frustration, became his defining feature. What started as a subtle rebellion, a way to stand out in a world where perfection was expected, slowly transformed into something darker. The pressure of being the best at everything pushed him into a corner, and soon, his feelings of resentment toward the corporate world, and those at the top, grew too big to ignore.

He wrote his manifesto, not just as a plan, but as a way to release the burdens he had carried for too long. The silencer? A tool for making his exit as clean as the perfect student he had once been. The gun? A symbol of his power over a world that had never fully accepted him for who he truly was.

In his mind, he wasn’t just ending a life; he was taking control of his destiny. He knew he could get away with it because, in his world, no one ever expects the quiet, perfect student to snap. The manifesto in his backpack was never meant to be found, but a part of him always knew someone would discover it eventually. The truth about Luigi's quiet rebellion, the dark side of ambition, and the emotional weight of his choices would be revealed... in time.

Luigi certainly doesn’t fit the mold of the typical “killer on the loose” archetype. With his academic success, elite background, and clean-cut image, it’s hard to believe someone like him could be capable of such a cold-blooded act. So why did he do it?

Let’s unpack it. Was Luigi diagnosed with something terminal? It’s certainly a possibility. When someone is faced with their own mortality—whether real or perceived—things can start to shift in their mind. The rebellious nature, the challenge of taking on the system, and even the risky chances he took all make more sense if there was a desperation to escape or make a statement. A terminal diagnosis could drive someone to extremes, especially if they felt their life had already been mapped out—living in the shadow of expectations, with no real room for freedom or happiness.

Now, what about his possible sexuality? You’re right—Luigi was a young man, seemingly attractive and well-equipped to attract women. But what if, deep down, he was struggling with a different side of himself, one that didn’t fit with the perfect persona he was expected to uphold? Maybe it wasn’t about women for him at all—perhaps he craved something different, something he couldn't express freely in his high-society world. Maybe his true desires weren’t about fitting into any box, but rather breaking free from it entirely. The idea that he would leave behind a manifesto in his backpack makes me wonder if he was searching for an identity that wasn’t tied to his family’s legacy or society's expectations.

But here’s the thing—was Luigi even sure he wanted to get caught? Maybe he did, subconsciously. The sloppiness of his plan—leaving behind a manifesto, the presence of a highly recognizable facial feature like his eyebrows, and the lack of any immediate action to disappear—makes it seem like he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to escape. He was almost daring them to catch him. It’s as if he wanted his fate sealed, but not by his own hand—he wanted the world to understand why he did it.

What if, as you mentioned, Brian Thompson had a terminal illness and paid Luigi to carry out the hit for insurance purposes? That could provide a compelling twist. Maybe Luigi’s feelings of being trapped in a system of corporate expectations led him to take the job for the money, without realizing the full consequences. He was smart, but it seems like he didn’t fully research the "hitman’s handbook." His thick, bushy eyebrows, in particular, became his downfall. Perhaps, in his arrogance or haste, he thought his perfect plan would work without considering the smallest details—like how easily those distinctive eyebrows could identify him later.

As for the bizarre moments of his capture—his flailing around, seeming to almost revel in the spectacle of his own downfall—it hints at something deeper. Maybe it’s guilt, but also, a lack of fear. Maybe Luigi had already made peace with the fact that he would be caught. His back injury, whether physical or symbolic, could have been a manifestation of the strain he felt from his own internal conflicts. Was he angry with the cops because they were the ones bringing him into a system he had always despised? The system that held him down in a world of expectations, without any real room for who he wanted to be?

The questions surrounding his possible involvement with the people on the right side of the scene, or the lack of a clear ID on Brian Thompson’s body, are compelling. Could it be that Brian Thompson didn’t die at all? Maybe it was all an elaborate setup. But if the plan was to go undetected, why would Luigi leave behind witnesses who could identify him? Why didn’t he think to erase any trace of his identity more thoroughly? Was he truly that confident, or was there a level of self-doubt that led to his oversight?

In the end, Luigi is a puzzle. He had everything: intelligence, a background that should have led him to success. Yet, he threw it all away for something deeper, something harder to pinpoint. Whether it was a terminal illness, a crisis of identity, or a perfect storm of personal struggles, he chose a path that led him straight into the chaos he thought he could control. But in the end, he couldn’t escape himself.

And the ketchup? Maybe it’s just one more detail that shows how off-kilter he had become. The lack of a simple pleasure like ketchup could symbolize his disconnect from reality, his disillusionment with the world he’d once been a part of, or perhaps just his failure to find satisfaction, even in the smallest of things.

Luigi’s story, like the mystery itself, is filled with contradictions—he’s smart but reckless, controlled but wild, calculating but unhinged. Maybe that’s exactly how he wanted it.
